Rachel Talbot is the founder of Bowerbird Films, Inc., a production company focused on creating compelling stories and quality productions. Bowerbird Films specializes in distinctive video assets for best-selling authors and publishers (teasers, author videos, dramatic scenes).
Rachel has a long history as a producer and director of distinguished films including the Emmy nominated NBC special, Live from New York: The First Five Years of Saturday Night Live (supervising producer) and Easy Riders, Raging Bulls (producer), which screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
Rachel’s first feature length documentary as a director and producer, Making Trouble, was shown at dozens of festivals including Silverdocs, Woodstock and the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival, where it won Best Documentary, Audience Award. Rachel’s short film about the artist Marion Bantjes, made with Magnet Media Films for Adobe, the premiere software company, was nominated for a Webby Award. Rachel received an Emerging Filmmaker Award at the Babelgum 3rd Annual Film Festival for her film, Under the Covers with Chip Kidd.
Rachel is a graduate of Wesleyan University and lives in New York City with her husband and daughter, Sabine.
